The members are admitted into the Society after complying with the relevant provisions of Multi-State Cooperative Societies Act, 2002 along with rules made there-under as well as the bye-laws of the Society.

Any person who resides within the area of operation of the society and who genuinely need the services provided by the society and whose interest does not conflict with the interest of the society.

No person shall be admitted as a member of a multi state cooperative society except the following, namely.

An individual, competent to contract under section 11 of the Indian Contract Act,1872.

Any multi-state cooperative society or any co-operative society.

The Central Government.
-
A State Government.
-
The National Co-operative Development Corporation established under the National Co-operative Development Corporation Act, 1962.

Any other corporation owned or controlled by the Government.

Any Government Company as defined in section 617 of the Companies Act, 1956.

Such class or classes of persons or associations of persons as may be permitted by the Central Registrar having regard to the nature and activities of the multi-state co-operative Society.
Conditions for Obtaining Membership
A person will be enrolled as ordinary member upon fulfilling the following conditions:

Application is made in writing in the prescribed form.

He has acquired at least one share.

Fulfilled all other conditions laid down in the Act, Rules and the bye-laws of the Society.

The Board of Directors of the Society approves the application to admit as a member.
